Job Description

• Support the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Development (SBED) Interim Director and the Blackstone Academic Champion with related Blackstone projects and initiatives.
  
• Provide advising services and meet with referred SBED clients who are seeking guidance related to accounting, bookkeeping, financial assessments, and/or resources.
  
• Assist in developing on, and off-campus outreach; networks with community-based partners; and help organize recruitment and engagement activities to attract, engage students to participate in the Blackstone Launchpad program.
  
• Facilitate free monthly workshops within the CSN Blackstone Entrepreneurship Center that focus on financial literacy and business accounting.
  
• Participate in monthly SBED core team meetings, quarterly Blackstone Stewardship Council meetings, and training sessions as necessary.
  
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
  
• This is a part-time position working up to 20 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or closely related field.
  

• Demonstrated understanding of the business development life cycle process with the ability to connect and engage with the students.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 + years of professional accounting experience.
  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  
• Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
  
• Possess excellent written, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.

Salary

$45.41 Hourly - contingent upon grant funding.
