ACTUARIAL ANALYST

IMT Insurance is looking to fill the role of Actuarial Analyst, working on Commercial Lines. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the company rating engine and the development of competitive analysis. You will also assist with the development of rate level indications and recommendations for multiple lines of business and for the development of appropriate state rate filing materials. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Perform maintenance of rating engines
  • Develop and maintenance of competitive analysis
  • Independently develop rate level indications and provide rate recommendations for multiple commercial lines of business
  • Assist with the development of rate filing materials and support to state insurance departments
  • Support new product / line of business implementations
  • Build, test and implement rating algorithms onto new rating engine
  • Work collaboratively with other teams across the company

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A college degree or equivalent and 2+ years of P&C Commercial Lines actuarial experience needed to perform essential duties
  • Must have completed 2-4 actuarial exams
  • Develop technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market
  • Ability to pay close attention to details
  • College Degree (BS/BA), preference to quantitatively oriented field of study
  • Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to operate standard office computer system.
  • Developing skills applicable to the advanced usage of Excel
  • Developing skills applicable to the usage of databases, including SQL programming language
  • Must possess the ability to work well with others
  • Experience developing rate and rules within a rating engine preferable but not required.

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $103,000.00

Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience and Actuarial exam progress.
