Job Description

We are looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to join the LA Clippers Marketing team! In this role you will be hands-on and responsible for running projects across multiple internal groups, owning gameday promotions strategy, and contributing to overall brand marketing efforts driving fandom growth and revenue opportunities. You will also work closely with our external agency partners and help run point on experiential marketing events. The right candidate will have sports experience or live events, media buying and planning, brand activation, and excel at project management.

This is a full-time role on our Marketing team and is based in our DTLA office and is eligible for our competitive benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more.

What You Will Do

  • Support the Brand Campaign strategy by using market research, competitive analysis and consumer insights to develop new strategies and opportunities for our brand
  • Independently lead cross functional teams to ensure coordination of activities across multiple communication tentpoles & timely execution of programming.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Media agency to implement Marketing campaigns
  • Lead the planning for in-arena promotions including theme nights and fan giveaways.
  • Responsible for end-to-end program strategy, vendor relationship management, and game day operational oversight.
  • Act as the main point of contact and relationship lead with our media, broadcast and promotional partners.
  • Traffic marketing and brand assets both internally and with agency partners.
  • Support experiential marketing for fan development and brand growth.
  • Develop marketing activations that drive lead generation, sponsorship revenue, and ticket sales.
  • Manage & develop one direct report
  • Monitor performance to proactively identify course corrections and/or new opportunities

Your Background, Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Marketing role, work experience in sports and/or live events highly preferred
  • Experience mentoring and developing top talent
  • History of success delivering results & ability to make decisions to boost impact
  • Strategic and analytical execution skills with a track record of delivering strong growth
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently – high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Exceptional project & time management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects at different stages of development
  • Demonstrated ability to develop & cultivate relationships; build consensus & influence business partners internally & externally
  • Solid understanding of Asana or similar project management tool
  • Ability to learn, contribute and thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to anticipate opportunities/issues and proactively develop recommendations based on sound business judgement

Compensation

  • Compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • This role is classified as exempt.
