Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a Sales Deal Desk Analyst to join our team in the Portsmouth, NH office.


Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Sales Deal Desk Analyst will work with the Commercial team to evaluate the profitability of new and renewal deals, to maximize deal profitability. This individual will work directly with the US Sales team to model quotes and ensure that overall profitability targets are achieved and balance any price concessions with an accretive offset to drive volume. They will ensure compliance with contracts, discount guidelines, volume purchase commitments and any leasing arrangements with third parties. This position will work closely with the Finance and Sales Operations team to track profitability KPI’s across various business segments, where needed they will also assist with revenue recognition. The person will collaborate with the following functional teams: sales, marketing, and finance, to achieve business results and guide decision making. Key reporting requirements include: sales, margin, mix, pricing, and impact to EBITDA.


How you contribute:

  • Implement, execute, and maintain discount guidelines working closely with marketing, develop workflow to document exceptions and set up KPI’s to track results over time. Proactively monitor trends and provide feedback to sales and marketing and work to update guidance in accordance with market changes.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts both pricing and volume, set up monthly reporting cadence and partner with sales to remediate any contractual shortfalls.
  • Partnering with sales and marketing assist in the execution of GPO/IDN agreements through modelling of financial impacts, implementation, fee calculation and compliance. Include performance in monthly KPI pack.
  • Ensure compliance with terms and conditions and any local rules, partner with legal team to understand and work through issues.
  • Partner and support the management team to provide insights into the business and establish, implement, and contribute to the achievement of commercial objectives.
  • Foster an environment of problem solving, efficiency, pro-activity, and improved business practices.
  • Lead pro-active communications at all levels to ensure broad-based understanding of financial objectives and processes relevant to a profitable and evolving global commercial organization.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Marketing to understand and challenge products sales forecast (including understanding all inputs and assumptions) as well as approve the method of developing gross-to-net estimates.
  • Support future SAP Quote to invoice process in compliance with revenue recognition requirements.
  • Involve the Senior Director of FP&A in areas of complexity, risk mitigation and strategic importance.
  • Lead continuous improvement of financial tools, business modeling, financial planning, and processes that can scale with the company's growth.
  • Serve as a financial advisor and partner to the business units, including providing analyses of budgets and, both, top line, and margin-level financial trends.
  • Assist with the development of process and practices to standardize and streamline contracting processes.
  • Responsible for the negotiation and the administration of contracts and agreements consistent with requirements, compliance obligations and policies and procedures.
  • Analyze the risk of terms and conditions that deviate from standard terms and conditions; advise leadership on concerns relating to contractual risk or deviation from standard terms and conditions.
  • Summarize and document negotiations for auditability, management review and compliance.
  • Provide internal business clients with advisory support on contractual issues and deal with a variety of contract matters.
  • Support training, guidance and education of internal clients and business partners.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred; Business or Finance preferred or 8years of relevant industry experience in a senior finance role supporting executive management.
  • Ability to identify and scope analytical models, and then design and implement models to evaluate outcomes. Must be able to present not only the numbers but communicate the information clearly and succinctly to senior level executives.
  • ROI evaluation and analysis of customer programs
  • Good judgment and motivation to enforce the Company’s Code of Conduct, Revenue Recognition and other policies.
  • Highly organized and innovative with a strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment a plus
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Deal Desk experience
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
