POSITION SUMMARY:

The position will require a strong knowledge of application design and development, systems integration and implementation, and building those technical solutions to satisfy complex business needs. This is a technical role where system/data architecture skills, in addition to development, are essential. This position will play a key role in the technical design and development within our Salesforce platform and will be ‘hands on’ with solution development. This role will work within a team environment with the Salesforce admins and functional support leads to create and deliver robust solutions to solve customer’s ever-changing needs. Additionally, this role will help support data flows to and from Salesforce, and may work with other products such as Salesforce’s Heroku or Google’s Cloud Platform.


BASIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with Lead Salesforce architect and developer in the design and creation of application solutions that achieve business objectives that are secure, scalable and maintainable; translating business requirements into systems, services, and solutions.
  • Design and build custom solutions on the Force.com Platform, including Apex classes and triggers, Visualforce, Aura Components, Lightning Web Components, and Flows.
  • Support legacy tools (workflow, process builder, etc.) as required.
  • Utilize additional features within Salesforce, such as custom metadata, custom settings, custom labels, and the event bus.
  • Work with broader development and administrator teams to implement innovative solutions with a focus on adhering to standards, best practices and code quality techniques.
  • Integrate with third party APIs, as necessary, to support business processes to/from Salesforce.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define and implement scalable and sustainable technical solutions using Salesforce technologies.
  • Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner and provide internal support when needed.
  • Support creation of business case from a system design and level of effort estimates for development of new solutions.
  • Work to develop an understanding of Gardner Denver/Ingersoll Rand products and business processes in order to make recommendations for improvements to ensure efficient flow of critical business transactions.
  • Work with system admins to look for opportunities to improve efficiency, drive process changes and support them with system changes.
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, and product roadmaps.


NATURE AND SCOPE:

  • This position reports to: Business Technology System Architect/Development Lead
  • May be exposed to working across regional and divisional lines with other internal Salesforce.com administrators
  • Will be required to interface and communicate effectively within many levels of the organization as well as customers/distributors
  • Will work closely with outside consulting services when project work requires

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIRED TO PERFORM

  • 5+ years of professional development experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with Salesforce.com platform
  • Strong experience with Salesforce development
  • Proven background in architectural design and systems integration
  • Experience working with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Digital Experiences (Communities)
  • Salesforce.com certifications are preferred
  • Detail oriented and self‐starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Strong problem solving skills, data and software applications
  • Able to plan, organize work
  • Able to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through
  • Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
