Our Indianapolis, Indiana based mid-size law firm is a full-service firm with a diversified commercial law practice that encompasses more than 30 areas of service and industry focus. The Firm is a recognized leader in such areas as financial institutions, healthcare, real estate, construction and government. The Firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Coordinator who wishes to continue their career in a highly professional environment which inspires teamwork and collaboration. The Position

  • Attend Practice Group meetings and work closely with other members of the Business Development team and Practice Group Leaders to support, promote, and develop the groups' business development initiatives;
  • Develop client communications, implement practice-specific branding and PR, and plan events that support practice group goals;
    • Encourage full and effective use of the Firm's CRM database (InterAction) and ensure that the groups have effective contact lists in place for communicating with clients in relevant industry sectors;
    • Manage trade association contracts and deliverables for assigned practice/industry groups;
  • Organize and work closely with other professionals of the business development team to present effective live and online events, such as webinars and client receptions;
  • Work closely with lawyers, business development team and Firm-wide personnel to prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) responses;
  • Manage Firm's digital content initiatives related to assigned areas of practice:
    • Firm's website content;
    • Practice Group or attorney blog content;
  • Manage the Firm's social media presence;
  • Graphic design back-up;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
The ideal candidatewill have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or other related field. The individual will also have appropriate experience including:

  • A minimum of five years of marketing experience; three years practice group marketing management experience preferred;
  • Experience in a professional services environment, preferably with a law firm;
  • Proven ability to concentrate on the details of executing projects once the big picture has been identified by upper management;
  • Proven budgeting, project management, organizational, and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively present and communicate information to all levels of employees;
  • Knowledge of law firm marketing platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, and competence working in web-based digital content platforms.
