Award Winning, fast growing, local company who specializes in the Luxury Home Design Build Remodeling industry in Colorado Springs, has a full-time position available for an Estimator & Project Manager combined. (EMP)
Our perfect candidate is required to understand and execute all aspects of estimating for complex residential projects and be able to build out and deploy a project management schedule for our Design Build and production contracts.
We have already developed and designed an entire estimating and project management process for the types of projects we propose. It is supported by our estimating and project management software which supports these efforts and those in the field.
Position will require but not be limited to:
The Estimator/Project Manager (EPM) is responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimate comprehensive proposals on all remodels. This includes meeting the clients with the President for the initial walk through and project review to the final delivery of a comprehensive multi-section leather binder, complete with all estimate and project management information. They must be able to prepare these proposals, blueprints, specifications, financial take offs, and other related documents to provide complete conceptual and total pricing. The Estimator will work closely with the President and administrative team.
Estimators will be expected to read, interpret, and accurately compute blueprints, architectural specifications such as MEP systems, site plans, floor plans, architectural drawings, elevations, interpret diagrams & schematics, scaling plans, evaluate schedules, bids from all subcontractors and trades, measure length, heights, and widths, including circumferences, to calculating square and linear footages.
Mathematics and geometry skills are required to perform the job function in conjunction with technical reading skills. Additional items are details specified and/or provided by client and drawings in conjunction with our services, products and labor, will also be part of the proposal process. The position requires the ability to determine the scope of work and complete accurate take offs and bid details in conjunction with the trades we work with such as electrical, tile, plumbing, carpentry, cabinets to name a few. Research and interpretation on a case-by-case basis with an applied understanding of remodel constructions standards in application with sole source trade proposals will be required. Proposal from the trades will be issued per project in a timely manner as they are time sensitive to our clientele receiving their proposals.
Candidates should be able to work under deadlines, possess excellent communication skills, as well as basic computer skills. Organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and the ability to work under deadlines to complete custom proposals, will be required. Candidates will also require the ability to analyze cost benefits when evaluating projects for profitability and filing reports.
Confident and positive applicants with interior design, architectural knowledge of reading plans, Millwork, construction and remodeling industry experience, job costing skills, and prior estimation and project management experience are encouraged to apply.
Currently the position is Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Background check and Drug testing will be required upon hire.

2 years’ experience in Estimation/Project Management with residential remodel
On-the-job training with President and other admin will be provided
Compensation Range:
Starting at $ 50,000 to $ 80,000
Schedule:
8 hours per day/ 5 days a week plus overtime unless salaried employee
