About Joule Case

Joule Case is power where you need it. We design and build proprietary patented battery systems that stack and swap to replace any diesel or gas generator size and even provide utility-scale EV charging.


About the Role

Joule Case is looking to add a Business Development Manager who is experienced at leading new business initiatives and driving sales growth in new client markets. This position will report to the VP of Sales but will be expected to operate autonomously, owning both the successes and challenges of assigned expectations. The Business Development Manager will be a true go-getter and not afraid of knocking down doors while exploring new opportunities of market entry for Joule Case.


What You'll Do

  • Develop and track organic growth programs to drive profitable sales growth
  • Lead and develop customer project opportunities; leveraging application expertise and success stories from other accounts to win new business
  • Help to expand the opportunity funnel by identifying new accounts and applications to apply our portfolio of products
  • Gain a deep understanding of the market trends, dynamics, participation, growth expectations and the key applications to drive growth for our business
  • Keep up with competitor trends and develop/implement plans to stay in front
  • Identify and help resolve any gaps related to product portfolio and sales coverage
  • Actively work with sales leadership to develop a network of product specialists to increase sales through project wins, new sub-segment / application opportunities and key account focus
  • Report-out regularly on progress related to orders and sales performance and key growth program
  • Convert ideas into actions and produce results with new initiatives


Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-7 years of experience in a marketing, sales or business development in an industrial B2B environment
  • Growth-focused, proactive and high-energy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software packages such as Google Suite & Sheets, Excel Spreadsheets
  • Strong prospecting, discovery, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Experience in utilizing and maintaining data in a CRM
  • Knowledge of alternative energy, EV charging, and related products
  • Strong analytical (some math required), verbal, and written skills
  • Strong technical acumen when it comes to solutions and customer applications.

Base salary range

$75,000 to $90,000 annually + commission

Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.


The above represents the total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.


Employees may also be eligible for bonuses, stock options, and other forms of compensation. Joule Case also offers the following employee benefits for this position:
