ABOUT US:

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Primary responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth running of the household, performing administrative and household tasks, and working closely with other staff.

Household:

  • Daily running of the estate.
  • Keep an inventory of all household supplies (light bulbs, batteries, cleaning supplies), assist with restocking as needed.
  • Maintain and update a household manual.
  • Maintain an approved products list for home and personal items, including online purchasing info.
  • Maintain a household vendor list. Build strong relationships with vendors.
  • Shop for household items, as needed.
  • Wine cellar and smart home systems management.
  • Prepare home for occasional events. Coordinate with vendors as needed for holiday decor (Halloween, Christmas)
  • Hands-on.

Home Office:

  • Maintain principal’s personal Google calendars (separate from professional calendars).
  • Schedule personal appointments. Calendar items forwarded by principals and Estate Manager.
  • Maintain a filing system for household needs (e.g. car registrations, maintenance contracts, warranties, contractor bids, etc.).
  • Order home office supplies and monitor inventory.

Other:

  • Purchase gifts; develop and maintain gift tracker, review and audit receipts.
  • Work with travel concierge, event planner, and accountants as needed.
  • Plan and coordinate children and family activities and events.
  • Assist with personal archival projects.
  • Dry cleaning, prescriptions, household supplies
  • Shipping various packages; manage returns.
  • Personal shopping as requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have at least 3 years of management experience.
  • Have experience managing 3+ subordinates.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience working in private homes 15,000 sq. ft or larger.
  • Outstanding references from both current and previous employers. References will be verified.
  • Superb command of the English language, both written and oral, is required.
  • Understands that the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion are required.
  • General understanding of household mechanical systems, appliances, technology and routine maintenance practices of these systems.
  • Possesses superior process, project and time management skills.
  • Low key, meticulous, personable character.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible scheduling with availability to work overtime and weekends as needed. A 24/7 mentality.
  • Valid driver’s license with a perfect driving record.
  • Legal to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal and credit checks.
  • Covid-19 (with booster if eligible) and Influenza vaccinations are required to be considered for this position.
