Summary:
Serves the spiritual needs of patients and families participating as a member of the clinical team. Acts as a liaison to other faith-based communities to meet patients’ spiritual needs. Provides pastoral support to and acts as a religious resource for hospital staff.

Qualifications:
Candidate will need a Masters in Divinity or equivalent, from an accredited divinity school, or seminary. Ordained within own religious affiliation, completed at least two to three units of clinical pastoral education with previous experience in a hospital chaplaincy program of at least three years, preferred. The qualified individual should maintain a good affiliation with his/her denomination or faith group.
Ordained clergyman of any faith with a functional knowledge of the spiritual identities of all faith, and the dynamics of counseling and interviewing. Must have good communication skills. Must feel comfortable working with seriously ill and disabled hospitalized patients and must understand the psychology of people with catastrophic illnesses and injuries. Good working relationships with community clergy is desirable.
Hours:
30 hrs per week
