More than 3,000 babies are born each year at Maine Medical Center. In the Prenatal Center we care for high risk ante partum and high risk postpartum women in our 12 bed unit. We accept high risk pregnancy transfers from both Maine and New Hampshire. We are a growing department that supports and works closely with the Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby team. Maine Medical Center has a clinical nurse advancement pathway, with a strong history of RN growth in this department. This is a great opportunity for nurses who are seeking professional growth, research, and leadership development. This is a highly motivated team with the expectation of specialty certification two years after hire.
All new graduate RNs (less than 1 year RN experience) hired into regular status positions are automatically enrolled in our Residency program in conjunction with their unit based employment.
