Position Summary:
The Clinician provides clinical and therapeutic support to the people supported by Beacon and is responsible for ensuring that services provided are in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Clinician works closely with the rest of the Clinical team to ensure cohesive and positive supports are in place to help the people supported by Beacon be successful. As a Clinician, you are to be aligned with goals and mission of the organization and to perform in the accordance of our “I Care” core values of the organization – Integrity, Compassion, Advocacy, Respect and Excellence.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
· Assists with coordinating and monitoring service planning for individuals supported by Beacon.
· Communicates with persons supported and their teams to ensure that best practices are in-place to support their needs as it relates to their individual behavior and support plans.
· Provides clinical services to BSLS clients according to the scope(s) of practice assigned
· Responds to crisis situations as requested.
· Evaluates causes and implements change strategies when adverse incidents occur.
· Coordinate with Community Mental Health and other service agencies as needed.
· Provide evaluation services in person (face to face) with people supported.
· Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the people supported based on the location and times that works best for them and sets them up for optimal success with the interventions provided.
· Adheres to BSLS Core Values, Mission Statement, and Corporate Philosophies.
· Provide training, technical support, and supervision to Direct Support Professionals in the implementation of individuals behavior plans.
· Provide organizational training as requested.
· Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
· Is subject to frequent interruptions, imposed deadlines and frequent problem- solving activities.
· May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset persons supported, staff, family members, visitors, and personnel from other agencies.
· May be exposed to a variety of conditions, infectious diseases, odors, dust, etc. throughout the working hours.
· Works in a variety of settings, which may include inside or outside the home environment, work setting, and/or throughout the community.
· Work locations may vary according to the needs of the company and staffing requirements. May be assigned to work sites throughout the various counties where services are provided by the company, including reassignment to a different shift when the scheduled shift has been cancelled.
· May be subject to physically aggressive persons supported and may be required to implement an emergency use of manual restraint if allowed by the company’s EUMR policy.
· May be exposed to animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, pet rodents, birds or pet reptiles.
Physical Demands
· Sits, stands, walks, bends, and moves intermittently during working hours.
· Lifting/transferring requirements vary based on service provision and the needs of persons supported.
· Ability to master the use of all physical intervention and assistance techniques, including permitted and restricted procedures, necessary to meet the needs of persons supported and as directed by the CSSP Addendum.
· Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetic services that will enable these senses to function adequately.
Education & Qualifications:
· Undergraduate degree in a social science major: Psychology, Counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis or Social Work other related field required. Master’s in Psychology, Counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis or other related field preferred. Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor preferred.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, may include practicum and internship experience.
· Experience with both mentally ill and intellectually disabled adult population.
· Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
· Experience using an electronic record systems and Microsoft Office.
· Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
· Proficient in speaking, writing, and reading the English language.
Working Environment:
Work is performed at home-like setting or community facilities with the potential of exposure to infectious disease. Universal precautions are required to minimize the risk of infections. Work sites may include locations that are not barrier-free. Duties are performed in an environment where there is a potential for physical aggression from residents.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
