The assistant will work alongside marketers and creative teams to provide support for campaigns and initiatives. The position reports to the Director of Strategic Projects / Project Management but has the opportunity to interface with the entire Consumer Marketing team.


This self-starter should have an interest and aptitude for engaging a diverse range of consumers through marketing and should be curious and immersed in brands, marketing, and the broader cultural landscape. We’re looking for someone who can champion our books, authors, and brand and see the bigger picture of how books fit into the broader entertainment landscape and shape society and culture at large.

The Role
:

  • Provide support for Creative Strategy campaigns and initiatives across all project stages (tasks include but are not limited to participating in creative ideation sessions, scheduling and communicating key deliverables and milestones, facilitating project meetings, and communicating key campaign updates to internal stakeholders)
  • Assist the Director of Strategic Projects / Project Management with departmental project management, ensuring Creative Strategy projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Proactively identify issues or potential roadblocks and escalate as needed
  • Learn marketing campaign strategies and tactics, with a goal of eventually managing campaigns independently

  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage multiple projects, and think on their feet to address unexpected challenges
  • Self-motivated with a desire to be a team player as well as work independently
  • Quick learner of new technologies and tools
  • Experience in book publishing is a plus but not required to succeed in this role – we value a team player who can prioritize and multi-task in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment


The salary for this position is $48,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.

The salary range listed is specific to each particular open position and takes into account various factors including the specifics of the individual role, and candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
