With parent company Carnival Corporation, Cunard is well known for its White Star Service and Trans-Atlantic Crossings.

We’re looking for an amazing Copywriter to support our sister brand, Cunard which is based in our Santa Clarita office. Cunard is one of the oldest and most famous ocean liners in the world. You’ll be responsible for the creation of written content across all media, including print, digital and social, in partnership with the Marketing team. The role will support consumer and trade marketing communications which include writing clear, attractive copy with a distinct Cunard brand voice that adheres to brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content (1000 - 3500 words) for marketing and support Public Relations and Sales with ad-hoc copywriting requests.
• Responsible for establishing creative direction across key projects, adapting strategic insights from creative briefs and segmented audience persona insights into persuasive copy concepts.
• Work within established brand guidelines in order to develop and execute content for email, social media posts, online/offline advertising, direct mail, Brochures, eFlyers, video scripts, trade collateral and other Travel Advisor materials (ads, flyers, emails, banners). Review and provide constructive feedback to website copy produced by the U.K. head office to ensure grammar, word terminology aligns with North American audience. Provide recommendations to SEO UK Agency and UK internal web team to increase search results rankings and qualified web traffic that speaks to US and Canadian audience's language.
• Proofread all Email, Direct mail, online/offline Advertising, Collateral, promotional Eflyers, landing pages, disclaimers, Program Releases, and Service Communications, and edit posts and content before publication. Also includes detailed review of maps, itineraries, and deployments. Conduct quality assurance of final marketing communications before releasing to the printer and QA bluelines before print
• Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel and internal Revenue Management for approved disclaimer language and ensure disclaimer matrix is maintained with current policies
• Create a repository/directory for all content and secure usage rights for editorial content and testimonials
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content strategy and recommend new topics
• Mastery and enforcement of Cunard style guide and brand voice. Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone). Ensure the voice and tone of the brand is consistent and engaging, and contribute to its stewardship
• Developing “voice” for Sales VP and trade communications

Requirements

• Certified Content Marketer Copywriter, Semrush Role of Content Certification, OMCA Certification. Completion of copywriting certification programs such as Henry Harvin Education, Udemy, Coursera, Skillshare
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, or another related major such as Marketing or Communications
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Successful track record of independently handling multiple projects
• Master of the five steps in the copywriting process: Prepare, Organize, Write, Edit, and Review.
• Intermediate SEO for copywriting content
• Content marketing strategist with experience mapping out the journey Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Excellent English writing and editing skills
• Extremely detail-oriented, Ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams
• Outstanding time management skills – track record of managing daily multiple assignments with ability to prioritize changing action items in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines.
• Experience with Project Management software, such as Workfront
• Natural ability to build and maintain relationships
• Outstanding work ethic, Team player

• Base Salary Range: $54,200.00 to $73,200.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
