Roles and Responsibilities

Maintain Cost Accounting System
Perform month-end close activities including reconciling inventory, labor, material, inventory reserves and inventory absorption.
Reconcile and update cost pools and resource rates
Prepare and maintain labor and overhead cost reports; review cost reports with Managers to identify areas for improvement
Work with Program Managers to identify product specific cost and efficiency metrics
Review BOM’s and work orders for costing accuracy
Develop new product standard costs and recommend margin hurdle pricing
Assist Operations with the planning and counting of physical inventory, reconciliation and drive the development of cycle count programs.
Assist in the evaluation of new and on-going R&D projects.
Perform financial analysis as needed for continuous improvement teams as needed
Assisting in monthly closing of the General ledger.
Work Order analysis and corrections when needed

REQUIREMENTS
Strong written and oral communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills, experience with inventory costing in an ERP environment, spread sheets and other MS Office applications.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Experience with SAP a plus but not required.

Five to seven years’ professional experience in a manufacturing setting.
