Role: Customer Service Representative/ Receptionist
SHIFT 8AM- 5PM MON-FRI
Overview:

- Enter customer orders for standard product into an order entry system.
- Processes all miscellaneous debit and credit memo requests through entry and distribution.
- Maintains configured product serial card file and handles customer inquiries.
- Prepares miscellaneous shipping papers for all non-product related shipments.
- Handles customer phone, email and fax requests for shipment pro numbers and proofs of delivery.
- Maintains shipping document files.
- Job tasks include on-line entry of order and serial card data, manual typing and control of shipping documents, and entry and distribution of credits and debits for non-product related material or services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing appropriately.
- Notifies company personnel of visitor arrival. Performs on-line entry of customer orders for Standard product in MERIT order entry system.
- Enters monthly Rep truckload orders and Scrap shipment orders in MERIT.
- Performs on-line entry of all credits and debits for freight charges, cancellations and miscellaneous billings as required.
- Handles customer inquiries relating to configured product serial card data in addition to maintaining the serial file.
- Performs on-line entry of serial card data.
- Prepares Shipping documents for all shipments of miscellaneous product, maintains files, matches with shipment notification and prepares debit/credit invoices for same as required by the requestor.
- Distributes copies per department procedure.
- Handles all customer requests for shipment and tracking information received via phone, fax and email.
- Researches shipment via on-line and manual files, contacts freight carriers and uses internet to obtain tracing data.
- Responds to customer.
- Modify customer contact information in the system.
- Screen Non-US citizen using passport, and documents from requisition party to make ready for shipments. Other duties as assigned.
- Provides administrative support to Customer Service department as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent 3 years’ experience in similar role
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
