The Legal & Regulatory Control Operations Product team is creating a foundation and infrastructure that embeds agile practices and processes created, impacted, or led by CCB Operations. We are responsible for aligning Product and Agile discipline with business strategies and priorities. Progress to agile evolution is assessed through an engagement model and supported with a cohesive set of resources and service offerings to generate value for CCB Operations, internal servicing employees and ultimately our Chase customers.

The Regulatory & Event Operations Product Delivery leader (PDL) will assist the Area Product Owner (APO) in delivering cost-effective technical solutions that comply with our regulatory obligations and business goals. We do this by listening to stakeholders and understanding their priorities as well as aligning the development and business areas to work as one team in delivering strategic initiatives. Their responsibilities will differ from an Area Product Owner based on more limited, yet focused responsibilities.

The PDL focus is to manage a scrum team of technologist, business operations SME, and testers by partnering and clearly defining a product roadmap. Ensuring the team is clearly defining, accepting, rejecting, prioritizing, and communicating backlog items from idea through execution. In addition, ensuring they gather feedback from customers, product stakeholders, and the development team through retrospectives, meetings, surveys, analytics and focus groups.

The PDL will participate in both Product Backlog Refinement workshops and Sprint Planning meetings to understand priorities and establish sprint scope and goals. The PDL must be able to articulate why one piece of functionality is more important than another. They ensure alignment with the overall strategy and that it is understood by the teams.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist Area Product Owner to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities. Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the product evolution lifecycle.
  • Influence teams to shape and implement the product strategy . Work with Area Product Owner to analyze customer and stakeholder feedback to determine features or components that will add the greatest value to the product.
  • Strong customer segmentation experience with ability to influence and guide product alignment using customer insights . Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Work closely with Area Product Owner to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI . Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities. Engage stakeholders to obtain directions and guidance on expected features . Collaborate with Scrum Teams to deliver the best product for customers.
  • Assist Area Product Owner in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals . Proactive in identifying process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture and environment . Demonstrate collaborative leadership, harness the power of diverse and dynamic teams, successfully manage people leadership, talent/performance development and coaching duties. Understand competitors and the industry trends . Keep abreast of Agile/Scrum best practices.
  • Demonstrate ability to make strategic decisions, take accountability for those decisions while candidly challenging the status quo to guide the right customer journey outcomes . Manage technical debt regularly, by proactively integrating a governance model that is used throughout the delivery workflow.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a dynamic product or service environment
  • Proven experience in managing an Agile delivery team
  • Knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Strong understanding of the lifecycle of a product and ability to bring an idea to reality in a team environment
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Advanced/Strong client experience skills across a large scale highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to harness data and the power of analytics and customer insights for comprehensive strategy planning Excellent organizational and time management skills
