About the Practice:
Our practice is a modern office staffed by a friendly team that provides stellar patient care and customer service to hundreds of patients. As we approach our 7th anniversary, we are looking to welcome a new team member. This role would be ideal for a detail-oriented candidate looking for a fast-paced environment within a supportive and communicative team. We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish and English) dental assistant to join our team full-time.
Schedule:
- Every other Monday, every other Tuesday and every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM. There is a 30 minute lunch break. Total work hours per week is approximately 34 hours.

- Bilingual Spanish-speaking preferred
- Removes all instruments and tools after use and processes them for sterilization.
- Scrubs autoclave instruments and sets up trays.
- Assists in preparing trays and setting up for all procedures.
- Cleans and sets up treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
- Assists doctor in 4-handed dentistry.
- Assists or performs administrative duties when needed.
- Performs general house cleaning tasks.
- Maintains plaster trap and lab counter areas.
- Provides customer service support to patients by escorting them to and from the treatment room and prepping them for care.
- Assesses patient needs both during appointments and over the phone.
- Updates patient information.
- Assists with maintaining equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and changes.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations.
- Knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Skilled in the use of standard office equipment including: telephones, calculators, fax, computers, and computer software (Mac IOS and Practice Management software).
- Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas competently.
- Ability to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities.
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year(s) relevant experience in the dental assisting
- Candidate must be willing to take the Dental Assistant National Board Exam and the Dental Assistant Certificate Program - These requirements may be employer subsidized.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility for detailed work with objects.
- Active movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc. (not a sedentary position).
- Vision: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing: able to satisfactorily communicate with patients, doctor, and other staff members to ensure that verbal communication is clearly understood, particularly during emergency situations.
- Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipment.
- May be required to administer CPR.
- Additional or different duties may be assigned occasionally at employer’s discretion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
