Strategic Initiatives
Provide analysis, research, document review, coordinate with subject matter experts across functions and develop a working knowledge of key issues as it relates to strategic initiatives including but not limited to:
  • Asset Liability Management
  • Reinsurance
  • Capital management
  • Regulatory initiatives
  • Development of key performance metrics
  • Driving actuarial projects as needed to assist the success of the Individual Retirement CFA team
Actuarial Valuation and Financial Reporting Responsibilities
  • Lead the Financial Forecasting and Stress Testing Process for Individual Retirement CFA
  • Act as model owner of the actuarial forecasting models, coordinating with development, production teams and key stakeholders
  • Conduct analysis of the forecast/stress tests and facilitate sign off on actuarial components
  • Improve process by improving automation and minimizing manual adjustments
  • Communicate in a clear and timely fashion between Individual Retirement Valuation teams and CFA concerning any valuation, accounting and regulatory issues
  • Support development of actuarial analyses for Economic, Statutory, and GAAP valuation and financial reporting
  • Focus on efficiency, automation, profitability and risk management. Understanding critical drivers and current programs in place to monitor effectiveness and enhancement opportunities
  • Continue to follow process and calendar detailed in the Corebridge Finance Actuarial Judgments Playbook, including coordination of quarterly Business Line Actuarial Briefings
  • Monitor and resolve any internal Audit, SOX, or ERM actuarial issues related to Individual Retirement
Actuarial and Regulatory Financial Developments
  • Stay current on key Statutory/GAAP accounting, regulatory and tax changes and considerations affecting Individual Retirement business
  • Review relevant NAIC working group initiatives that may affect Individual Retirement business
  • Identify business opportunities relating to accounting or regulatory changes and lead initiatives to capitalize on opportunities

For positions based in Woodland Hills, California, the base salary range is $125,000 - $180,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
