Global Treasury and Financial Services (GTFS) manages and protects Microsoft’s $140B in financial assets to support the digital transformation journey of Microsoft’s customers, partners & vendors by providing competitive credit and payment solutions to support revenue growth while managing credit risk. The Director Banking Infrasturcture will oversee global banking infrastructure across 1200+ bank accounts, 250+ subsidiaries and over 25+ key banking partners. This will require an experienced innovator with a growth mindset, a desire to continually learn and be a strong leader who builds partnerships, attracts talent, and leads a high performing team. Change management and agility in execution are key for success in this fast-paced role. Technology and data analytics are key for transforming data into actionable information. Your ability to lean-in and help deploy the best solutions for your function are critical for on-going success. A successful candidate must have a track record of exceptional people leadership of building high performing teams, proven success in bank account management and banking infrastructure at scale, creating strategy, and strong change management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain banking infrastructure to support all Global Cash Management (GCM) activities. Includes selection of banks we work with, type of accounts (virtual, physical, etc.) and account planning framework.
  • People management. Managers deliver success through modeling, coaching, and caring.
  • Work with Payments team in GTFS and engineering teams to ensure timely support for online payments. Policy & Execution of bank account controls – direct debts, filters, blocks etc.
  • Maintain systems/tools and process for Bank Account Management & ensure compliance with internal controls & policies. Who should have access to accounts, type of access (online portals, physical check signing authority, etc.).
  • Timely addition, deletion, and changes to bank accounts. Partners with legal and peers in cash planning to create robust processes and tools and ensure internal controls work as designed.
  • Policy for Electronic Bank statements and bank reporting, ensure segregation of duties across teams in GCM and beyond to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Accountable to manage controls & compliance with timely change to signors and report quarterly.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business AND 7+ years experience with background in treasury, finance, or accounting.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA (Master's in Business Administration); AND 10+ years experience with background in treasury, finance, banking, or accounting.
Treasury M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
