SUMMARY

Responsible for all logistical operation activities including freight and Distribution. This position will provide the overall direction of the logistics department by building and developing operations, processes, and procedures to support strategic direction.
This role will oversee the management of all areas of the DC’s and direct activities so that service level requirements and quality standards are met while maintaining cost objectives. Additional activities of this position include responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, and ensuring the execution of all functions within the Distribution Center while observing and complying with Federal, State, Company, and Budgetary guidelines. The primary responsibility is to ensure the highest quality service at peak cost efficiency.



FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee a domestic multi-site warehousing network and internal logistics organization.
• Manage logistics for inbound, inter-company and outbound shipments including 3PL’s for domestic, international and parcel freight

programs.

• Oversee and create strategic partnerships with 3rd party companies to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Develop long-range objectives and strategies for the distribution centers, monitor performance against these objectives and provide

feedback to site direct report(s) and team members.

• Provide strong leadership to create and execute strategies, improvement priorities and the predictable delivery of other KPIs.
• Create standard operating procedures and best practices in terms of performance monitoring to optimize quality, cost and delivery

time.

• Manage budget and implement continuous improvement projects and performance metrics to improve financial performance.

Identify and implement cost reduction programs that meet or exceed the business plan.

• Work closely with internal supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure all products are transported efficiently and cost-

effectively from our suppliers, manufacturing plants and distribution centers.

• Drive predictable productivity & business results while also ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Promotes “total customer satisfaction” (delivery, quality etc.) within all Operations teams.
• Continually work to optimize the sustainability (people, profits and planet) of our logistics and shipping processes, people and

components.

• Ensure employee safety at the distribution centers.
