ABOUT US: NOBLE BEAST DOG TRAINING

We are dog training done right. When our founder, Mindy Jarvis, started Noble Beast Dog Training, she combined her dog training knowledge with her people skills to create a company that would dramatically improve human-pet relationships. For over 15 years, we have developed a reputation as experts in our field by training thousands of canines in the metro Denver area. We specialize in dog/dog socialization and group dynamics as we know how important it is for pups to join their owners out and about in the big world. Our trainers use positive reinforcement techniques to help our clients have successful relationships with their pups, facilitating forever homes for our beloved friends!

Our great staff is key to our ability to assist as many people as possible. In order to help our employees succeed in their roles, we offer terrific benefits, paid training, and opportunities for professional development. Our supportive, collaborative environment is fertile soil where everyone can learn and grow, and we have fun together too! As one of our employees put it, working here is "hard to beat." We hope you will join us and see for yourself!

YOUR ROLE AS A DOG TRAINER - BEHAVIOR CONSULTANT

As a Dog Trainer - Behavior Consultant, you are the lifeblood of our business. Our goal is to help our clients form meaningful relationships with their pups, and you are the one who teaches both the dog and their person how to achieve this! After our extensive 30-day, hands-on training, you become a level one trainer running a Camp B.A.R.K. class Monday – Thursday, 6 hours a day. You also have the ability to offer four group classes a month as well as privates services to our clients as well. If you come in with some solid experience on you – we may hire you as a Level 2 or Level 3 trainer, with higher pay!

At Camp B.A.R.K., pups get to participate in our progressive social training program, unique to Noble Beast, where you get the opportunity to work with up to 8 pups in a group, helping them with their dog communication and social skills. In addition, you support them in understanding and respecting boundaries, all while helping them build confidence through experiential activities and body handling. Oh, and the best part - improving their active listening while working on manners, obedience, and tricks! This program is a game changer and is not offered anywhere else in town!

When it comes to group classes, you get to work with both the pups AND their owners, while following our set curriculum. You coach the owners, who encourage the good behaviors they are looking for in their pups by using various rewards, such as love, affection, praise, toys, play, and treats. As the pups learn beneficial life skills, the owners can be proud of the pup that THEY trained through your coaching - pups that grow into well-mannered pets who start to understand boundaries and enjoy the structure of training! Watching each pet and owner progress together fills you with pride because you are well aware that training saves lives!

Your one-on-one sessions are just as fulfilling because you get to tailor your training to each pup's specific needs, even if you take one of our popular group curriculums to their living room. Once sessions are over, you follow up with each client, showing them through emails and other outreach that we truly care. If ever you have questions or concerns, our team is there for you. You love being surrounded by knowledgeable trainers who offer suggestions, encouragement, and help. As work goes, this is a special job, and you really can't think of a more rewarding career path, given your love for dogs!

WHAT WE NEED IN A DOG TRAINER - BEHAVIOR CONSULTANT

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A Certificate in Dog Training & Behavior OR a degree in applied behavior analysis OR 2 years of committed self-study and experience in dog behavior training using positive reinforcement training.
  • Solid computer and email skills
