Aon is looking for an Executive Assistant! As part of an industry-leading team, you will help deliver results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Enterprise Client Group business group within Aon in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chicago office.

You will provide administrative support to members of the ECG Senior Leadership Team. This support will include email management, time recording, full calendar management, research, and other special projects. You will also act as the liaison between the executive and their colleagues, clients, and other partners.

The EA responds promptly, thoughtfully, and effectively to changing work environments, changing priorities, and new situations. Additionally, the EA possesses the skills and ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with internal resources, clients (where applicable), and other parties in a global and virtual working environment. The Executive Assistant is integral to the efficient workflow within the office environment.


What the day will look like


While no two days will look the same, a typical day can / will include:

  • Displays excellent customer service skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Superior writing skills—grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Schedule / coordinate meetings via Webex or in person
  • Daily interaction with internal and external executive leaders as well as their EAs / AAs, coordinating projects and working independently; seeks out answers to questions, takes initiative, leverages network of resources to solve problems,
  • Helping others understand or attain support with technology or facility requirements
  • Providing backup assistance to other EAs / AAs as applicable


Support of executive level leaders, administrative activities that include:

  • Email management
  • Time recording
  • Full calendar management
  • Research, or other special projects
  • Coordinating complex meeting logistics on or off site; may include, but not limited to, budgeting, travel, room reservations, meeting room logistics and materials, and catering
  • Actively participating in leadership meetings for follow ups and note taking when applicable

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced level computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and other programs as applicable.

Education: Bachelor’s degree a plus or 6 equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position $60,000-$80,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
