General Summary of Job Duties
Reporting directly to the President and General Manager, our Executive Assistant /Event Planner will provide general clerical support for the Senior Executives and head up the Casino Event Planning.
Essential Job Function and Duties
- Provide clerical support for the President and General Manager, as requested.
- Provide direct support for Creative Media/Marketing department. Designing menus, promotions, advertisements, etc.
- Make all necessary arrangements for all vendors at Ribfest, Octoberfest, and other vendor associated events.
- Photograph all special events on the property.
- Coordinate, implement and execute promotions, special/outdoor events, and other casino marketing efforts.
- Communicates special events effectively with all related departments to ensure proper and efficient preparation and execution of promotions and events.
- Demonstrate use and knowledge of Abode products, effective design methods etc.
- Set up and maintain all files and records, as required.
- Ensure competency of work from the standpoint of grammar, composition, and format.
- Perform follow-up on reports or special assignments.
- Compose replies based on organizational practice, policies, and procedures.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
- Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow team members, and vendors.
- Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
- Arriving on time and regular attendance on all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to register with the Gaming Control Board upon hire.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Outlook required.
- Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written, as well as strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, taking initiative to complete tasks before assigned.
- May work in areas that contains second-hand smoke.
- Able to sit and / or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from guests.
- Must have the ability to successfully interact with other team members and management.
- Must be flexible and able to work all shifts and weekends.
