The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for the organization of delivery transactions. The right person for this role will ensure that the delivery team is efficient and sucessful by meeting the schedules within deadlines while adhering to the meal and rest breaks policies and staying within projected labor costs.

While this role is primarily working out of our warehouse in Oceanside, CA. This industry can quickly change gears and priorities can change. This person must be flexible and have an ALL HANDS ON DECK personality. When drivers are limited, this person MUST be willing to drive trucks or trailers to really rad event venues. *VALID DRIVERS LICENSE IS REQUIRED

Events are serviced throughout Southern California typically but not limited to SD County, Orange County, Palm Springs and Los Angeles County.

SCHEDULE: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday
OFF: Wednesday & Thursday

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reset delivery trucks for pick by sweeping the truck, checking for tools & moving equipment (Dollys, Plastic and blankets), and clean out any debris/trash.
  • Refueling trucks with company credit card
  • Use of good judgement when taking field calls from clients, drivers or independant contractors, which requires problem solving and good decision making.
  • Assist Delivery Manager with delivery schedules by contacting drivers for their availability and adding them to the schedules.
  • Resolve post weekend issues which requires attention to detail when reviewing tickets. Research for broken or missing inventory.
  • Coordinate with other departments to repair broken items or keep track of unrentable items for inventory purposes.
  • Assist with booking temporary labor with outsourced recruiters or apps such as Labor Finders, Dolley, Instawork, people finder.
  • Review biweekly timecards to resolve missed punches, meal breaks, call outs, time off requests, etc.
  • Reconcile timecards against projected labor costs and schedules to minimize errors and create ways to reduce labor costs.
  • Identify bottlenecks in fleet operations and make suggestions to delivery manager for improvements
  • Analyze fleet data to ensure optimal business performance.
  • Other duties as assigned by delivery manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active Driver's License with no restrictions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Atleast 1-2 years experience with scheduling
  • Prior event rental experience preferred but not required
  • Flexible schedule with open availability is a MUST
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Safety & compliance oriented

  • Exerting 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25 -50 lbs. force frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and sitting
  • Recurrent climbing, balancing, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and handling
  • The job is performed primarily indoors and outdoors
