General Summary Of Duties:
The Housekeeping Floor Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of the daily operations of assigned floor(s) or area in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
Manage/Supervise the daily activities of the floor(s) assigned to include appropriate cleaning of all guest areas, rooms, suites, hallways, service areas and offices.
Daily supervision of the housekeeping staff.
Maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory.
Conduct quality and safety inspections of all rooms, suites, hallways, and service areas.
Manage/Supervise housekeeping employees through motivation, coaching and development
Uphold Department Policies and Procedures including highest standards of cleanliness, service, safety, and conduct.
Ability to train, coach and discipline employees.
Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within Housekeeping department.
Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask
Working knowledge of rooms management systems (AS400, LMS, Outlook).
Capable of using independent judgment/solid decision making skills ability
Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, employees, and guests both inside and outside of the organization.
Ensure accuracy and final status of rooms is updated in LMS

Ability to safely operate shampoo machine, wet/dry vacuum, buffers, and power tools to insure proper training of subordinates.

Knowledge of housekeeping operations, including: appropriate staffing levels, service equipment and guest relations.
Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Ability to deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgment.
Ability to exercise judgment and implement control over the performance of staff.
Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for other employees. Resolve complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take action based on previous experience and judgement, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice, answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information.
