Alaska Functional Fitness is a locally owned gym that prides itself on providing a superior fitness experience, found nowhere else in Alaska. We offer state-of-the-art equipment, and high cleanliness standards that pre-date COVID-19! AFF is currently looking for a motivated individual to work the front desk, Friday evening (1pm – 9pm) and Saturday (1pm - 7pm).

Primary Responsibilities:
· greet members, providing exceptional customer service
· answer phone in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions
· check members in
· facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts
· respond to member questions/concerns in a timely and professional manner
· detailed cleaning in all areas of the facility
· enforce gym policies as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements:
· customer service background preferred
· exceptional customer service skills – ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and coworkers, exceeding the members’ expectations
· punctuality and reliability is a must
· upbeat and positive attitude
· basic computer proficiency
· strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve
· demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language

Physical Demands:
· Continual standing and walking during shift
· Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift
· Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
