Medical Front Desk Receptionist (Full Time)
Busy urology practice with main office located in Manhasset and Jackson Heights and satellite offices in Forest Hills, Astoria, Elmhurst, Manhattan, and Brooklyn, looking for a full time front desk receptionist/authorizations specialist.
Responsible for obtaining authorization from insurance carriers for urologic procedures and surgery. Must have experience with health insurance medical policies as well as insurance carrier benefit structures and the processes to obtain authorizations. Responsibilities also include: answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, etc. Scans various types of document (such as lab reports, imaging results, consultation reports and prior records) into the EHR System, faxing, copying, and various other office duties.
Qualifications: Superior organizations skills, Ability to multi-task, Experience with EHR systems is preferred
