• Supervises & assists in the performance of maintenance and preventative of electrical fire alarms, CCTV, electronic security PA, intercom and high voltage distribution systems and equipment.
• Reads blueprints and wiring diagrams and makes material take-offs.
• Requisitions materials and need parts.
• Ensures completion of installation/repairs.
• Makes emergency repairs to electrical system and equipment.
• Performs on-the-job training of inmates.
• Participates in on-call rotation.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and experience in construction or repair of secondary electrical systems. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.

SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources)

• A High School diploma.
• Five (5) years experience.
