State and Federal Communications is a publisher of lobbying compliance in the government relations arena and is based in Akron, Ohio.

Job Summary

We are looking for a graphic designer who will be involved in marketing and branding initiatives.

This is a dual position that will also assist the marketing manager in creating and posting on several digital media platforms. Your duties will include creating high level marketing design to be used in the office and at conferences.

As a Graphic Design Assistant, you will report to the Senior Graphics Coordinator.

As a Social Media Assistant you will report to the Manager, Marketing and Digital Media.

Responsibilities

• This is a dual graphic design and digital media position.
• Responsibilities in graphics include creating materials for print and digital

communications including advertisements, brochures, infographics, proposals, and more.

• Candidates must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Able to display a high level of confidence with your creative and communicative

skills.

• The position strives to maintain the consistent branding that State and Federal

Communications has produced.

• Demonstrates ownership of all assigned projects, asking for clarification when

necessary, and meets deadlines.

• Understands social media and has an eye for detail and an enthusiasm to always bring something to the table will be key to your success.
• Independently creates and maintains a social media content calendar and posts corresponding content on a regular basis.
• Maintain marketing resources inventory.
• Assists co-workers with day-to-day marketing and communication tasks.
• Self-starter who is eager to learn, grow and develop; proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties assigned by manager.

Software:

• Candidates must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design,

and Adobe Photoshop

• Microsoft Software - Word, Power Point, and Excel
• Microsoft TEAMS
• Prezi
• Camtasia

Preferred abilities:

• A forward thinker who is aware of current trends and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess the ability to work in a fast paced, fluid work environment with tact and diplomacy.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in graphic design
• Internship or graphic design experience in corporate or agency setting desired.
• Background with digital media platforms and posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
• Flexible to assist in additional duties.
• Works in the office the first 90 days, then three days a week and two days from home.

Position Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Location: Akron, Ohio with potential hybrid, remote work schedule.

Salary: Starting at $45,000 per year
