Description:
Reporting to the Label Manager, this is a unique opportunity to receive project-based work that requires strategy, teamwork, ingenuity, and creativity, as well as tactical responsibilities that expose the intern first-hand to the experiences of a Graphic Design professional.
Responsibilities:
Assist team by generating concepts, problem solving and design of new artists' cover art, tour posters, various marketing and sales materials.
Work on all aspects of packaging including graphic layout, packaging structure concept, logo design, typography, print production and photography (including photo retouching and assisting at photo shoots).
Please keep in mind that Manic Kat Records internships must be used for college internship credit.
Qualifications:
Strong typography
Strong conceptual skills
Experience with packaging design is a plus
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people of all levels and in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to determine solutions, make sound judgments and carry out actions in an effective manner
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize work without missing critical deadlines
Strong presentation skills
Strong knowledge of Adobe CS 6, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign on Mac Platform
Education:
Qualified candidates will be actively enrolled and working towards a degree in Graphic Design and will have completed a minimum 2 years of undergraduate study at an accredited university.
Credit will be given toward college internships.
