Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support product testing initiatives of refrigeration systems & similar types of electro-mechanical equipment. Job responsibilities include performing test setups with instrumentation, constructing prototype equipment & hardware, work with data acquisition systems to log data, and troubleshooting.
  • Support on-going Quality improvement initiatives including conducting incoming receiving inspections, product & process audits, perform root cause failure analysis, and work to implement corrective actions.
  • Support Manufacturing operation on new product launches, implementation of Engineering changes & improvement initiatives, and new assembly processes.
  • Support Technical Service group with performing equipment repairs, analyze parts returns, and support field service efforts as required. Some travel may be required. Follow business operating practices to complete required documentation tasks to complete transactions.
  • Support technical documentation efforts related to dataentry, analysis, & tracking, creating reports, and documenting processes. Must be comfortable with learning and using various software platforms. Training would be provided on use of these systems.
  • Support fabrication of electro-mechanical test fixtures & hardware to support lab & production test processes.
  • Download, configure, and test programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) that are used to meet the daily production schedule and service replacements on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in an OEM Industrial Manufacturing environment that produces electro-mechanical products or experience as a field service technician for refrigeration / HVAC equipment a plus.
  • The position is open to entry level applicants with 1 – 2 years of experience and we welcome more experienced applicants with HVAC / refrigeration skills (as outlined above) to apply.
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude including use of hand tools and ability to use basic test instrumentation such as a volt meter, pressure gauges, and using basic measurement devices (rulers and calipers) are required.
  • Knowledge of brazing processes and mechanical equipment assembly processes a plus.
  • Ability to read basic electrical wiring diagrams and electrical system assembly concepts a plus.
  • Candidate must be detail oriented, well organized, a self-starter, with the ability to work safely in a team environment.
  • Basic proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Excel. Must be familiar and comfortable with using Windows products and using computerized systems.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to write.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, work to schedules, and to work methodically to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Applicant must have graduated from high school and completing training from a technical trade school is a plus.
