Job Summary:

Alarm Detection Systems IT Internship will play a critical role in assisting the IT staff to perform daily tasks and essential functions. This internship will be an introduction to help desk support to assist in all daily operations of IT. The IT Internship will provide a well-rounded introduction to IT support to develop skills and responsibilities in the workplace. This position is in office at our Louisville, CO location.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Basic end-user support
  • Under IT staff guidance, perform computer imaging, staging, and installation
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of desktop computers and laptops
  • Develop business cases/stories for prioritization
  • Must be punctual and adhere to attendance standards
  • Other duties as assigned by management

*Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Pursuit or completed Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or other related field is required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer hardware and software knowledge
  • Skills in basic troubleshooting
  • Technical skills and aptitude to learn technology
  • Knowledge of Android and Apple smartphones
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products
  • The passion and drive to expand your skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Able to gather and analyze information skillfully
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily tasks

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Clear and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (Illinois employees only)

Pay: $15.00 per hour
