The Center for Public Partnerships and Research (CPPR) seeks an IT Project Coordinator to coordinate development cycles, UI and regression testing, and data security for multiple applications created, owned, and managed by CPPR. CPPR specializes in research and evaluation, tech to practice, systems change, and social innovation work that supports our mission to optimize the well-being of children, youth, and families. This position is on CPPR’s Tech to Practice team, which specializes in harnessing the power of technology for use in social services, particularly in the areas of public health, child welfare, and early childhood. This team’s impact is empowering social service professionals at state and local levels to use technology to improve efficiency in how they work, learn, and communicate. We develop and manage multiple applications including DAISEY, IRIS, and The Institute for Family Support Professionals. This position will provide IT coordination and security support across applications.
The person in this position will track and support application development cycles and complete user interface (UI) testing for multiple applications. This will require working independently as well as working collaboratively with application development and implementation teams who interface with funders and users of the applications. Application development cycles include, but are not limited to, understanding the requested application changes, develop a user acceptance testing (UAT) plan, coordinate and communicate with the team and vendor about changes, and track progress and needs throughout the process. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, curiosity, and strong written and verbal communication skills to keep the work moving. This position will coordinate security efforts related to applications and the Center, under the direction of the IT Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of regulatory data security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, IRB).
40% - Coordinate application development and testing cycles for multiple CPPR - managed applications
- Track and support development cycles and timelines by ensuring the team and individual team members complete related tasks fully and timely.
- Execute development cycle tasks for multiple CPPR - managed applications.
- Develop and execute testing plan tasks for multiple CPPR - managed applications.
- Gain in intricate understanding of application features and business rules.
- Develop, track, and complete tasks for UI, UAT, and regression testing plans.
- Draft use cases based on needs described by subject matter experts (SMEs) for multiple CPPR-managed applications.
- Translate technical features for each application to SMEs for proper implementation and training.
20% - Coordinate application data security requirements
- Under direction, update run books, security policies, and other technical documentation for each application
- Participate in risk analysis processes as directed
- Track and conduct data security compliance activities including user audits, possible security incidents, and training completions
20% - Provide Tier II user support across applications
- Provide informed guidance to helpdesk staff.
- Triage helpdesk escalations to Project Manager or Tier III support.
10% - Coordinate additional application support
- Maintain and participate in Project Management tools.
- Understand, track, and distribute industry terminology.
- Provide technical guidance and participate in basic website and IT software maintenance tasks including updating HTML/CSS, using API tools, and executing various Tableau and REDCap protocols.
10% - Other duties as assigned
On-site, hybrid, and fully remote-based candidates and working arrangements will be considered. Travel and in-person work may be required. Ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours to accommodate the rollout of new features to production during application deployment windows.
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of relevant experience OR an Associate's degree and 1 year of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating a project (tracking timelines and task completion) as demonstrated by application materials.
- Attention to detail as demonstrated in application materials.
- At least 1 years experience coordinating an IT project or application, as demonstrated by application materials and previous work history.
- Training, courses or credentials that demonstrate intermediate understanding of IT project components such as software development cycles, security, risk analysis, etc., as demonstrated by application materials and previous work history.
