Position available for a Full Time IT Guru!

Starting Pay: $29 - $33 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and highly collaborative IT Specialist to work onsite. Our IT Specialist will act as a primary point of contact for IT services in support of Baywood Court employees, our contracted IT partner and residents in making our communitys experience the best possible. Key attributes to be successful in this role: a genuine passion to educate and train individuals with varying levels of knowledge in technology, solution driven, patient, empathetic and a positive mindset.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Serve as the on-sight point of contact for users seeking hands on technical assistance in collaboration with the IT partner.
• Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, multifunction printers, phones, tablets, copy machines, and other IT related hardware/software.
• Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by users.
• Walk the users through the problem-solving process by phone or in person.
• Direct unresolved issues as needed to the contracted IT partner.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain Windows Desktop Operating Systems and software
• Install, upgrade, and repair computer hardware
• Provide accurate information on IT products and perform the necessary research to advise the community of future needs.
• Assists users with login and access to various software systems
• Keep accurate inventory of all devices and provide input on capital replacement in collaboration with contracted IT partner.
• Identify and suggest possible improvements on policy and procedures in collaboration with IT partner.
• Bimonthly class with residents on IT to respond to their questions
  • Monthly zoom with managers on IT issues/training
  • Respond to resident and staff IT work orders
  • Accounting support as needed for backup
  • Purchasing minor IT equipment
• Following the right precautions in ensuring Data Security

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree preferred in a technology discipline or Bachelor degree in any discipline or two years of equivalent experience preferred. Will consider applicants with a drive to learn and a passion for IT and delivering support to end users.
• Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Window, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Microsoft Teams; basic understanding of Network Protocols. Demonstrated ability to learn new technology
• Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control. Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products. Provide campus wide support on all Audio-Visual equipment setup and take down as needed.
• Desire to learn new skills in a professional environment; views growth as important for personal and professional development; seeks out opportunities to expand skills, even if change is required; demonstrates curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
• Ability to work with groups across all departments and backgrounds.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal.
• Excellent communication skills, customer-oriented and cool-tempered.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

• Must be able to sit for up to 75% of the workday; must be able to stand and walk throughout the workday. Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to bend and reach.
• Must have good manual dexterity for typing and operation of office machinery including computers.
• Requires continuous mental and visual attention to diversified operations.
