The firm is seeking an experienced Firm Administrator to assist with the management of a law firm with four offices across the United States. The Firm Administrator would be based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.
Job Description. We are seeking an energetic, ambitious, and experienced Firm Administrator to join our team of professionals to help manage a successful boutique law firm with four locations – Washington, DC; Oklahoma City, OK; Portland, OR and Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will be ambitious to grow with increased responsibility. This position requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, flexibility, enthusiasm, dependability, discretion and trustworthiness. In this role, you will wear many hats. You will work on project management, some HR and executive assistant functions including vendor contracts, insurance needs and serving as the "go-to" person for all office needs.
Qualifications. You must have prior law firm, CPA or other professional organization administrative experience. The ideal candidate will be a pro-active, take-initiative, team-oriented individual who possesses excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and people skills. The candidate should have experience in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and the ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software suite is required.
Responsibilities. The Firm Administrator will work closely with the firm’s managing partners to interpret and implement firm policies and procedures appropriately, as well as work closely with managers of other offices and staff to ensure the firm’s mission, vision, and values are achieved. Specific duties include but are not limited to management and coordination of office administration and procedures, controlling correspondence, supervising and training office staff, and designing, delegating and monitoring various tasks between offices. Review of workstream monitoring and workload balancing. Assist in on-boarding employees and other HR functions. Identify and implement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency of the office. Ability to travel between our offices as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Five years experience in firm management.
Knowledge of relevant employment laws, including compensation, leave, benefits, and other human resources concerns.
