Job Description

PERSONAL INJURY LAW - Legal Assistant

Desired: The ideal candidate that we are looking for is confident, not afraid to be assertive, yet receives criticism well and is looking to grow. Our law firm helps people that have been injured. You must not take things personally, because when people are hurt, they're not always warm and fuzzy. If you have a basic understanding of health insurance, or auto insurance policies and coverage that is a huge plus!

Who we are: Our firm is growing, and we want you to join our work family and grow with us. Our company culture is important, we offer a drama free working environment, and we will support you while you learn. We are a close-knit work family and often have company events, retreats, lunches, dinners, boat days, etc. to show our employees how we value and appreciate them.

What we do: We help our (injured) clients find medical care and we work with insurance adjusters to get our clients compensated for their medical bills and injuries. Insurance companies are corporate giants that we sometimes have to fight with to get justice for our clients. If you can serve up a good argument, you're going to love this job! Also, we all take turns going out into the community and we meet with different professionals to develop and/or maintain existing relationships and referral sources. Sometimes you and a colleague will have lunch or coffee dates with a different doctor, chiropractor, insurance agent, real estate agent, or any other professional that we could work well with, but you will never be out alone. This is usually the fun part of the job for many, and it is an important contribution to our firm.
