Your role
Are you incredibly organized with an eye for detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative legal environment? We're looking for a paralegal who can:
- Respond to third-party subpoenas, garnishments, levies, pledge agreements, court orders, and similar matters issued to the Firm;
- Manage the Firm's involvement in third party legal proceedings, most of which are court ordered; and
- Collaborate with colleagues within Legal and our field branches in an advisory capacity.
Your team
You'll be working with the Subpoenas, Levies, and Garnishments legal team. We're responsible for responding to and advising internal departments on third party subpoenas, garnishments, levies, and similar proceedings in all fifty states and Puerto Rico. You'll be working with lawyers and paralegals located in Nashville, as well as financial advisors, branch personnel, and other internal departments in the U.S.
Your expertise
You have:
- Worked in a similar position before, preferably in a Paralegal or Law Clerk function;
- Experience in preparing and maintaining legal documents and records;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak with attorneys representing external parties;
- Thorough knowledge of subpoena and other third-party legal document processing;
- Financial services, litigation, and/or trusts and estates experience (strongly preferred); and
- Spanish language skills (strongly preferred).
