Drill Locator
We are seeking an Drill Locator for the Colorado Springs, CO area. The ideal candidate will have experience in telecommunications Underground work with the ability to locate for an HDD crew, utilizing primarily late model subsite systems as well as some Digi-track systems.

What Do You Offer Us?

  • Experience with locating & verifying all utilities before construction
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience within telecommunications industry
  • Must be knowledgeable of the telecommunications construction industry and have a familiarity with Horizontal Directional Drills
  • Ability to use cable placement equipment and tools along with identifying and troubleshooting problems
  • Individuals must be able to read prints and have knowledge of the underground processes
  • Ability to locate telecom utilities with either Digi-track or Subsite locating systems, preferably both
  • Ability to operate equipment; including, but not limited to directional drills, locating systems, trencher, backhoe, excavators
  • Ability to operate equipment to trench, place duct, pull cable, and direct bury main-line and drops
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work safely, with or without supervision
  • Must be knowledgeable of all typical safety procedures and apply them at all times
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

What is Required?

  • Valid CDL License
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills is required
  • Excellent client and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Willing to travel
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods with repeated lifting (Up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching, and be subject to extreme warm and cold temperatures.

This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
