For a Logistics Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Provide daily management of customer account teams, providing direction and leadership
Perform Customer Relationship Management activities with customer accounts, along with client/carrier pricing negotiation process tasks
Effectively answer employee and/or customer opportunities for improvement
Recommend changes in operational methods and procedures of company goals
Create, review and monitor critical logistics data and metrics; determine initiatives and corrective action if metrics are not meeting objectives
Maintain a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
Assist operations personnel in routing complex shipments
Provide reports to customers and supervisors
