As a Barclays Macro Intraday Front Office Developer, you will be supporting the FICC Risk & Pricing Technology Intraday Team in New York, seated on the Trading floor, facing off to Traders and other stakeholders. This is an exciting chance to be working directly for stakeholders in the Macro Trading business, collaborating closely with colleagues in risk and quantitative analytics to build and maintain a suite of tools used for intraday risk management.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $100,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $125,000

What will you be doing?

  • Consolidating, upgrading, and maintaining of Front Office pricing spreadsheets and other Front Office tools
  • Building out of new platforms to run analytics on the server-side, reducing sheet and client complexity
  • Using analytic skills and knowledge of financial instruments to build best-in-class solutions
  • Facing front office stakeholders directly to understand requirements and iterate on solutions
  • Doing other development and analysis tasks as delegated by the team lead
  • Interacting with Traders, gather requirements, troubleshoot problems
  • Being a Level 3 Production support working with Trade Floor Support to investigate/fix production issues

What we’re looking for:

  • Familiarity with at least one of the following languages C#, Python, Java, C++
  • Experience building complex software systems that have made it into production
  • Proficient in using standard CI/CD tools and source control tools (e.g., Teamcity, GIT)
  • Writes automated unit and end to end tests for features

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Recent experience working in .NET
  • Cloud Skills, preferably AWS
  • Experience with messaging technologies (e.g., Solace, MQ)
  • Prior experience working with Macro Rates & FX trading desks or Risk Managers

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
