Core Systems & Platforms vision is to design, build, integrate, and deploy highly effective and stable core business applications and platforms for the Enterprise and Corporate Functions. We are responsible for advancing the Business and Enterprise Technology Strategy by creating shareholder value. We lead with a Business Architecture framework and own Core Finance function domain technology roadmap and management of the supporting platforms.

Responsibilities:

The Manager, Product and Engineering is a strong technology leadership role within Enterprise Technology, responsible for the management of the successful delivery of Core Finance Systems and Platforms and the projects and teams delivering these technology solutions. Critical focus will be on our ECC to S/4HANA conversion program of work. This multi-year program is a technical conversion that will lay the foundation for the future business transformation. The manager that joins our team will be part of a finance transformation journey and maintain overall delivery accountability for specific technical workstreams of the transformation while also liaising with global stakeholders, managing to the critical path, and relentlessly removing blockers to delivery success of on time, on budget, on function.

  • Designs and delivers high-quality, scalable and cost-effective technology solutions that meet global business requirements and conform to architectural designs and technology strategies.

  • Partners to create and manage technical roadmaps and helps set and lead technology strategy.

  • Builds and manages high-performance and highly motivated teams responsible for design and engineering for core finance systems. Initially, the team will comprise of 4-6 product & engineering managers and business architects responsible for 10 workstreams and functional areas within the S/4 Hana program.

  • Actively manages third-party suppliers to ensure they deliver to their commitments, and to the needs of the business

  • Collaborates closely with partners across the organization including Disney Financial Systems business partners, EnTech architects, Core Finance Platform leaders, PMO and other delivery managers

  • Builds strong relationships with and manages large and diverse groups of stakeholders at multiple levels, from end users to executives, across the enterprise.

  • Applies extensive knowledge of both SAP and third-party applications to ensure core finance projects continues to satisfy existing business requirements

  • Collaborate with business partners to establish reconciliation processes for data migration/conversion activities.

  • Responsible for creating Requirements Traceability Matrix in partnership with the DFS team. Work to confirm completeness of both the functional and technical documentation/specifications and track to test cases/scripts.

  • Coordinate with the change management team and identify change impacts and impacted stakeholders.

  • Role is a service oriented, positive, forward thinking team member, who is responsible for ensuring the technical conversion continues to support the existing SAP business-related requirements.

  • This role requires the candidate to act as a liaison between Technical Team, including System Integrator, and business end users to ensure technical compatibility and satisfaction of deliverables.

Experience

  • Proven experience in leading technology delivering enterprise software solutions.

  • 10+ years of experience with technologies enabling Finance systems such as forecasting, invoicing, vendor management and collections with 5+ technical managerial experience

  • 7+ years of experience with SAP ABAP programming language, data and reporting applications and platformas such as Business Objects, Tableau, BW and the Enterprise Data Hub.

  • Experience defining systems strategy: designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementing practical p business solutions under multiple deadlines

  • Experience leading matrixed project teams including architects, developers, operations, PMs, business analysts, and vendor partners

  • Experience managing technical project budget and financials

  • Strong experience with vendor management and building strong, collaborative vendor relationships

  • Proven ability to build and motivate a team to achieve well-communicated expectations

  • Experience with Security and Compliance

  • Deep experience of managing third party suppliers

  • Proven ability to manage complex vendor, supplier, and sub-contractor relationships.

  • Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities.

  • Proven delivery application portfolios inclusive cloud and on-prem solutions.

  • Thought leader in new/emerging technology and its application in business

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred: Masters in a related field a plus.

The hiring range for this position in California is $190,570 - $220,660 per year and in Washington is $199,595 - $231,110 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
