Pay Rate: $23.26 - $30.29 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Makes necessary adjustments and/or repair of ammonia, chilled water, chlorine, ice maker and delivery, HVAC, and hot water generation and delivery systems. Monitor and make adjustments to product cooler temperatures.
• Operate and perform maintenance on boilers, condensate return systems boiler feed water systems stack economizers, and chemical injection systems for boilers and cooling towers.
• Interpret readings on the oxygen trim and boiler flame control systems, making repairs and/or adjustments as required to insure peak boiler operating efficiency.
• Operate and maintain the hot water generation and delivery systems, interpreting pressure and temperature readings and making repairs and or adjustments as required to insure peak operating efficiency.
• Monitor and make adjustments to PAA (Paracidic Acid) pumps to maintain proper concentration levels.
• Operate and maintain Ammonia Compressors and Ammonia Transfer Pumps, making repairs and/or adjustments as required to insure peak operating performance of equipment.

• Must have knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Must have a minimum of five years experience in the refrigeration field; or, the successful completion of a course of instruction in refrigeration combined with three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of boilers up to 600 HP.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and make “on the spot” corrections to emergency situations.
• Must have good written and oral communication skills, in English.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to work from ladder, safely.
• A refrigeration/ mechanical test will be administered and utilized to determine the skill level.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, and weekends as required.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces, pass a SCBA physical exam.
• Must be able to stand for prolong period of time (8-10 hrs) on a concrete/metal grate floor.
• Must be able to weld and perform mechanical and fabrication tasks.
