Here is a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

As a Mechanical Engineer at Lantech, You will:

  • Apply mechanical knowledge, including the development of assembly and part models, BOM, and pneumatic schematics, as well as product changes and enhancements, to the design and development of Lantech products and in-house equipment.
  • Solve mechanical problems from the component through the system level. Provide design and technical support for the sales, procurement, manufacturing, and aftermarket service teams.
  • Occasionally, travel to customer sites to solve problems in support of current technical equipment and system integration issues (less than 5%).

What are We Looking For? (Requirements)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has the ability to perform root cause analysis of electro/mechanical systems.
  • Is proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
  • Is a self-starter with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Can create pneumatic schematics, floorplans, assembly, and part models.
  • Possesses good working knowledge of mechanical theory and industry practice.
  • Has the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment and is able to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Is proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.

Education & Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineer: an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience designing and/or troubleshooting mechanical designs for industrial equipment.
  • AutoCAD/Inventor experience is required.
  • Experience designing OEM equipment is a plus.
  • Solid works experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis and Continuous Improvement is a plus.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must possess good communication/interaction skills.
