Remote / Work From Home - Medical Billing - Claim Prep and File - Call Team

JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Billing - Claim Prep and File - Call Team will work with patients and patient families via phone communications to verify demographics, insurance, and benefits (third party liability, primary, secondary, and tertiary payors) as well as assist with the patient packet. Problem solve and research and resolve coordination of benefits issues. Work as a team to meet team goals and deadlines.

DUTIES

• Provide Excellent Customer Service
• Manage inbound and outbound call volume
• Work to achieve team and departmental goals
• Identify patients needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions
• Work effectively as a member of a team
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Serve as a "champion" for best practices within our "I-Care" Cultural Pillars. (Integrity / Compassion / Accountability / Responsibility / Excellence)

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year in a call center environment
• Ability to work Independently or as an active member of a team
• Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level
• One year of experience in Healthcare/Revenue Cycle billing environment
• Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
• Must possess empathetic and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Office 365

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year working in a customer service position

Required Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
