Job Description

This is a full-time role that floats among our Sarasota and Bradenton offices. Phlebotomy experience required as part of the position to assist with draws as needed.


MAXhealth
is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist float to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. The candidate for this role will perform a wide-range of medical office tasks in front/back office.

Starting Salary $20.00 an hour.

Normal hours of operation are Monday- Friday.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT/FRONT OFFICE REPRESENTATIVE

In this role, you are directly involved in ensuring that we deliver focused and empathetic patient care at all times. As a true people person, you thrive in this environment as you greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival. You prepare them to see the physician by preparing examination and procedure rooms, obtaining their histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. You will also perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients as well as managing the necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. While maintaining a calming presence for our patients, you also assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience as an MA with some Front Office experience
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR preferred)
