Nurse Practitioner, Temporary
Coastal Carolina University seeks candidates for a part-time Nurse Practitioner in Student Health Services.
This part-time position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Student Wellness and Health Equity.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as a clinical medical care provider.
- Provide health care services (including COVID-19 testing and vaccine administration) for students, faculty, staff and related contracted vendors.
- Provides acute health care to students.
- Performs medical assessments.
- Obtains medical histories.
- Performs physical examinations.
- Maintains confidentiality of student records and health information.
- Promotes disease prevention.
- Manages medical care for some stable chronic illnesses.
- Provides patients with information regarding procedures, medicines, risks, or benefits that may be involved in treatments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A master’s degree in nursing and a minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience is required. Experience in a clinical setting within higher education is preferred.

Nurse Practitioner, part-time. Comparable to SC State Pay Band: 08. Salary range: $63,707.00 (minimum) to $90,788.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours vary. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs
of the university.
