The Commercial Loan Operations Supervisor will be responsible for supervising, overseeing, and coordinating all Commercial Loan Operations workflow. Ensuring delegation and completion of the department’s responsibilities. Managing and assigning loans to the department to ensure that complex commercial loans get processed, prepared, and sent out efficiently. Communicates and supports management to promote efficiency and establish positive working relationships.

Compensation: $55,000 - $63,000 annually depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Manages the work of the operations staff; determining work priorities, scheduling loan document typing dates, works with the lending staff and vendors to gather information needed for the processing and completion of loan documents, and assuring loan deadlines are met.
  • Assist in daily operations as needed to meet daily production deadlines.
  • Achieves staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and preparing work performance evaluations; motivating, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
  • Performs two monthly audits per team member each month to help identify training opportunities and oversee the process.
  • Identifies, and develops processes and written procedures to improve department efficiency by providing the staff with clear concise written guidelines.
  • Responsible for communicating the loan processing and document software program needs. Efforts include; helping enhance the program by creating exhibits, preparing addendums, and testing the system to ensure updates are rolled out smoothly.
  • Provides open communication with staff to ensure that all employees are informed of upper management decisions. Identifies the training needs for the department by providing staff meetings and training to make employee development a high priority.
  • Provides a resource to the staff to ensure we are meeting the commercial compliance regulations. Efforts include; answering questions, implementing new or revised regulations, and communicating with the bank’s compliance personnel for authoritative assistance.
  • Provides a resource to the staff to ensure we are meeting the bank procedures and loan policy procedures. Efforts include; answering questions, implementing new or revised procedures and policies, training and monitoring that new or revised procedures and policies are being implemented by the document preparation staff and by the lending staff, monitoring lender authority approvals, communicating with the bank’s legal counsel for authoritative assistance.
  • Responsibility for producing the LaserPro pipeline report, team renewal report, and monthly department production reports.
  • Responsible for utilizing excel and BIC reports for ensuring communication throughout different departments and using them to help manage the workflow accurately.
  • Ensures that the necessary management reporting tools are maintained to accurately measure the income and productivity level
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience in commercial loans with an advanced background in loan processing and loan documentation.
  • 2+ years experience in supervising a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate building positive working relationships with all areas of the bank.
  • Advanced knowledge working with various types of commercial loans. Knowledge of SBA loans, Letter of Credit Loans, and Participation loans are a plus.
  • Knowledgeable/experienced with at least one major loan processing system, preferably with LaserPro.
  • Advanced knowledge on different collateral lien types, how to use, perfect and maintain.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to delegate assignments and successfully manage the workflow on time sensitive loan closings.
  • Ability to multitask and have excellent time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of all MS Office Suite Products.
  • Ability to effectively interact with different department representatives.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, resourcefulness, initiative, and collaboration during all internal and external interactions.
