Position Description: OR Care Technician

The OR Care Technician I is a member of the health care team who performs direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN.

Responsibilities:

• Taking care of supplies and equipment
• Assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room
• Support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers
• Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• 1 year of Operating Room or Patient Care in hospital setting preferred
