The Payroll Coordinator Team Lead assists Payroll Processors with day-to-day processing questions and guides staff in decision making and follow through of tasks. Ensures timeliness of Payroll processes, and provides analytical data as needed. Involved in project work. Assists the Payroll Manager and/or Senior Coordinator as needed.
Gordon Food Service is hiring an Payroll Coordinator Team Lead to process vendor account details. This is your chance to join this dynamic team at 1300 Gezon Pkwy SW, Grand Rapids, MI Office.
Responsibilities:
  • Functions as a mentor/trainer to the Payroll Coordinator team by providing guidance on processes and procedures
  • Ensures work assignments are allocated properly across the Payroll Coordinator team
  • Responsible for reviewing accuracy of account data
  • Participates in the coordination and facilitation of regular team meetings
  • Participates in projects and system testing
  • Works within Workday Payroll reporting on tasks such as Balancing, Retro processing, Vacation administration, and Termination processing.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Ideal candidate will be:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related (preferred)
  • Two to four years previous Accounting experience with one year previous supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in Google Apps (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc...)
